Dr. Dietlind von LaßbergVice Chairwoman
Having graduated in geography and political sciences, Dietlind von Laßberg did her PhD (Dr. rer. nat.) in geography at Julius Maximilian University of Würzburg. From 1990 she worked with Studienkreis für Tourismus in Starnberg at the departments of regional development and environment, research and long-haul tourism. She co-founded the Institute for Tourism and Development in 1994. At the beginning, she was vice CEO and research associate with a focus on information and PR (“SympathieMagazin” booklets, TO DO Award, Intercultural Tour Guide Qualification, tourism research, etc.). She contributed to various publications on tourism and environment and on tourism to developing and newly industrialised countries. From 2000 to 2008, she was CEO of the Institute for Tourism and Development, and has been a board member since 2010. Since 2012, she has been vice chairperson of the board of the Institute for Tourism and Development and vice chairperson of Forschungsgemeinschaft Urlaub und Reisen, FUR.
