The Studienkreis für Tourismus und Entwicklung (Institute for Tourism and Development) concerns itself with development related information and education in tourism. In this context, it edits the series "SympathieMagazin" and other publications,
organises international contests, offers training and seminars for people employed in the tourism sector, is active in the area of tourism research and consultancy and is involved in the public debate on tourism development issues.
The Studienkreis für Tourismus und Entwicklung is a registered non-profit organisation working freely and independently.

Entertaining information - in a nutshell. In short articles "SympathieMagazines"
("magazines of understanding") illuminate complex issues and allows insight in other cultures, religions, and other topics.
With much respect and sympathy, the magazines tell about the everyday life, the way of living and customs, art and economy, history and politics of a country.
