The TO DO! - Contest Socially Responsible Tourism is announced world-wide for the 17th time by Studienkreis für Tourismus und Entwicklung e.V. (Institute for Tourism and Development). Enterprises and public or private institutions that take into account the interests and needs of the local population in their touristic activities are welcome to apply. That socially responsible and sustainable projects and measures can be economically successful at the same time has been proven impressively by the latest TO DO! award winners. Prize winners range from grassroot projects to luxury resorts. German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, Europäische Reiseversicherung AG, Church Development Service (EED), ITB Berlin, Swiss Foundation for Solidarity in Tourism, Studiosus Reisen München GmbH, TUI Deutschland GmbH.
The Swiss Foundation for Solidarity in Tourism (SST) will donate 5,000 Swiss Francs prize money for each winner. The Europäische Reiseversicherung AG adds another 2,100 Euros for the award winners.
